Carefully sieve the matcha powder into a bowl, to protect its finesse and remove any lumps. Then pour a little hot water onto it: using a matcha whisk, mix vigorously until a delicate silky-smooth froth forms. Add the 1883 White as Snow syrup: its fragrant bouquet of coconut, orange blossom, pandan, mandarin and yuzu will magnify the matcha. Mix so that all the flavors mingle harmoniously.
Heat the milk, and froth until velvety. If you prefer a cold version, choose well-chilled milk instead. Pour the hot frothy milk into a cup, and top with your fragrant matcha mixture. For the cold version, place ice cubes in a glass, add the fragrant matcha and top up with chilled milk.
